What to do when things don’t go quite right:
In the past few months I have had the joy of baking for a local coffee shop. During that time I discovered that my limbs were not as ready for the activity as I had hoped.
I am now doing exercises for my arms and elbows that will keep them from swelling and constricting the blood flow. As you can imagine, this was very disappointing because I love to bake. I love taking recipes I loved and grew up with and turning them into delectable treats for those that cannot have gluten or some other allergen.
So, am I giving up? Never! Not my style. I am fine tuning recipes that I know people love and I will sell them on my website as a Cook book. My dilemma of course is I still love, love the coffee shop and want to offer them goodies for the gluten sensitive clients they have. So I am working on a way to offer a line of recipes for the coffee shop so that they can continue offering Gluten free goodies.
Those that know and love me are concerned about me giving things away for free. So, with that in mind, I want to hear from all of you. Do you feel you might buy a downloadable recipe for $1 – 2.00? If you like it will you let me know so I can put together an E-cookbook?
I want so much to help all of us that have dietary challenges and find foods that will be easy to store and filled with real nutrients. Being ill means finding ways of caring for ourselves and I want to help.
Things have a way of going not quite the way we want, but with a little bit of thought, we can still participate in the things we love by adapting. There is always a way to get things done. A small change can make a huge difference. Take a deep breath, look at any possibilities and go forward.
